British songbird Adele has unveiled the snippet of a new song entitled “Skyfall” which is the theme song of the upcoming 23rd James Bond adventure called “Skyfall” staring Daniel Craig as 007.

The mother-to-be stays true to the Bond theme – “Skyfall” features a moody beat, dark lyrics and incredible vocals.

Adele who wrote the song with the help of Paul Epworth issued a statement via Facebook where she revealed that the track was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London with a 77-piece orchestra.

She went on to say:

“I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for ‘Skyfall.’ There’s a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song.”

The 24-year-old added:

“When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I’ll be backcombing my hair when I’m 60, telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I’m sure.”

“Skyfall” will debut in full this Friday, October 5th, which also marks 50 years since the release of the first James Bond movie “Dr. No.”
