“It’s rhythm pop,” McPhee tells Billboard.com of the album’s sound.
“It’s not like really R&B or really poppy, but there are a couple
of tracks that are really good for the ‘American Idol’ fans who
voted for me and knew me as the ‘Over the Rainbow’ girl.”

As for the significance of the tentative album title, she says,
“I never saw this coming into my life as big as it did, and you
never saw this kind of a record coming. You thought I was going to
make a Streisand record.”

Having rushed from the “American Idol” summer tour right into the
studio, McPhee has yet to line up roadwork for 2007. “I would love
to tour, but it will probably depend on how the record does. If
nobody buys the record, nobody’s going to want to see me live,”
she says with a laugh.
