Ashanti Talks About New Album With Access Hollywood
Ashanti made a stop by Access Hollywood where she talked to Billy Bush about how she handled her exist from Irv Gotti’s Murder Inc. record label in April 2002, her new album and the glow she spotted on new father Jay-Z at the opening of his 40/40 night club.
The “Rock wit U (Awww Baby)” singer shared with the host that she had to regroup and refocus after the Inc. drama – which is why she left music and concentrated on Hollywood and Broadway.
As her new single “The Woman You Love” played on the background, she shared that she has learned a lot as a new label owner.
Miss Douglas added that the ever moving music industry has pushed her to surround herself with a great PR person, radio person in order to make a huge impact with her forthcoming album.
She insisted that despite the rumors that rapper Jay-Z will not be featured on the project, even though she did have a lovely time with him at his 40/40 event.
The actress who has yet to meet Beyonce’s baby Blue Ivy Carter talked about the happiness that could be seen on Jay’s face during the soiree and cheered the Giants for the Super Bowl.
