Beyonce “I Was Here” : 9/11 Heroes Tribute
This morning a video montage put together by ABC was played on the network in remembrance of the heroes of 9/11 that featured Beyonce’s emotional and inspirational song called “I Was Here” taken from her latest CD 4.
Beyoncé sings “When I leave this world I leave no regrets, leave something to remember so they won’t forget: I was here. I lived, I loved, I was here,” as images of families and friends mourn, pay tribute to the the 3000 + people who were killed at the World Trade Center site, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa.
The song is very fitting for 10 years and even with the death Osama Bin Laden later families are still holding on very tightly to those they lost in the horrific tragedy.
