The official clip for Beyonce’s live performance of “I Was Here” in honor of World Humanitarian Day (August 19th) has been released.

The visual that was filmed at the United Nations on in New York City was produced by Scott Robinson and co-directed by Kenzo Digital and Sophie Muller features Beyonce in a beautiful Marc Bouwer gown while a montage of photos/videos play on the back ground.

The diva explained the reason why she donated the song to the project, telling Anderson Cooper during an interview on Anderson Cooper 360° :

“It says, ‘I want to leave my footprints in the sands of time’ and it basically is all of our dreams, I think. And that’s leaving our mark on the world. I feel like we all want to know that our life meant something.”

The video is very moving – minus Beyonce’s butt shot at the beginning – that was so inappropriate of the camera man.
