Beyonce, Jay-Z Raise $4M For Obama
Beyonce was the lady in red last night as she and husband Jay-Z hosted a $40,000-per-head fundraising event for President Obama at the Rap music mogul’s 40/40 club in NYC.
The “Love On Top” singer opened the soiree with the following statement:
“I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama. We believe in his vision.”
POTUS also showered his host with compliments, telling the 100 people in attendance:
“Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls.”
Mrs. Carter is putting her star power behind Obama who is in a close race for reelection against Republican challenger Mitt Romney.
The event raised over $4M for Mr. Obama’s campaign.
