Beyoncé ‘I Was Here’ On ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’
The host of ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,’ Ryan Seacrest had the online world buzzing on Thursday when he stated that pregnant music superstar Beyoncé would be performing on the show this year.
Fans of the “Diva” singer were slightly disappointed to find out that the ‘American Idol’ host’s statement was a half-truth.
Beyoncé did perform but it was not live, fans of Mrs. Carter got a never-seen before rendition of ‘I Was Here’ that was recorded few months ago in London.
Seacrest said the following before playing the clip:
“Obviously, Beyonce couldn’t be here tonight because she’s about to give birth to her first child.”
Small lie aside, the performance was pretty good, very moving and filled with symbols.
