Chris Brown Wasn’t Arrested at BET Awards 2012
Not really sure why, but moments before Chris Brown jumped on stage to perform at the BET Awards at the Shrine Auditorium, the social networking site Twitter was set ablaze with the claim that the crooner was arrested for gun possession.
The faux story which was published by Connecticut hip-hop radio station HOT 93.7, stated that authorities were called to the scene after it was discovered that the star had a weapon in his possession in order to fend off Drake and Meek Mill – the trio had an altercation in a nightclub in New York last month over who is sleeping with Rihanna.
The tweet from the radio station read:
“BREAKING NEWS!!!: Chris Brown Arrested for Possession of a GUN at #BETAWARDS!!!”
The R’n'B singer’s rep issued a statement saying that such event never happened.
Furthermore Drake was not even at the ceremony.
