Chris Brown Graffiti Album Review – Chris Brown released his “Graffiti” album on Tuesday.Most reviews can not separate the artist from the man,here we intend on doing so.Chris Brown the man did what he did but it is a private matter,so we will focus on judging the quality of his music.Brown has grown artistically,making the difficult transition from teen sensation to a young male R&B crooner.Vocally he is on top of his game and the production is very good on this CD.Brown jumps from club songs “I Can Transform Ya” to remorseful ballads “Crawl” with great ease.Despite these positive things,all is not good on ‘Graffiti’ especially the lyrically challenged “Famous Girl” which sole purpose is to have the media talking with all of its name calling.”Take My Time” featuring Tank is also a big disappointment,the song could have been better with a more mature singer.Overall Chris Brown ‘Graffiti’ album is a decent R&B album,one that will not revolutionize the genre but good enough for few spins in your car.I will have to give the album a 2.75/5.

I bought his first CD, the 2nd, and today I went out and purchased Graffiti. The transformation from the younger Chris Brown heard on previous albums, to what he has brought us this time…is eminent. While I hope that this album will prove to be a success, and I believe it may, I do think he spent a bit too much time defending, re-hashing, and so on.
I listen and watch Chris Brown because I like what he sings and I enjoy what he does. (Even in movies) I would rather disconnect from how he handles his personal life, as it is not a reflection on me…and lets face it what I do on a day to day is not a concern for Chris Brown. To be fair, talent and fame do not indicate that one will lack human emotion…right or wrong as the emotion may be. He has to answer to himself at the end of the day, his own reflection.
I had a chance to see him in Providence, RI this previous weekend. The show proved to be more incredible than I could have anticipated. Chris Brown had me mesmerized by his off the wall dance moves, smooth style, and captivating voice. Brown has mega talent…and that is why he sells, and will continue to sell, great albums.
Whether he can correct himself within, and gain forgiveness from those closest to him and the ones he hurt (especially physically) remains to be seen…but in reality, it is not “mine” to live with. When he is just Chris Brown, alone in a room…not on stage, amongst a crowd, or in an interview on 20/20 with the world watching…he has to deal with it. I hope he is able to come to terms with where his emotions can bring him, and work within to repair himself.
And so I encourage those who love hip hop, ballads, and unstoppable beats…Go out and grab the CD…its all in there. I hope it proves to be a new beginning for him. (Just please Chris, no more airing your laundry…save that for Larry King…the world will still love you.)

Hurray!!!! It is about time I can finally read something about Chris Brown that is about Chris Brown the entertainer. I applaud you and if there were more people that can disconnect from someone’s personal issues ( as we have done with Bill Clinton, R. Kelly, Jesse Jackson Coby Bryant and Tiger as of late)why not young Chris Brown. As we all know no one is perfect the we all know that there are though that make beautiful things happen….big ups to you again

What i dont understand is why when someone has a hickup in his or her life, the world and society dislikes them and cast them away. Okay he had a mishap with rihanna, but let me ask this what did she do to provoke him into doing that im sure she aint innocent. Me personally im a fan, i have all of chris brown albums, he makes good quality music. I enjoy the dance moves and think they are cool his music inspires me to live life and have fun and yes he is younger than me. Its hypocritical to let a incident in his personal lefe dictate his career. And to everyone who didnt buy his album because he had this mishap you are all phony, fake spinless pussies who just want to be like the rest of the world and bash on him. I know you are a fair person and I met ,if you just
listen to the music after clearing your mind of any previous judgements, you will rate that cd much differently. Just listen to the music without judgeing the artist.

Oh my God, I totally agree with you. Chris Brown’s new album is a 5.0 star rated. I also have the deluxe CD and my family loves it. It captures all different types of music and is targeted for all races. It is Excellent!! Great Job Chris.
I think the album is pretty good. I have always liked Chris Brown, but have never purchased an album until now. I think the media has bashed him enough and he has learned his lesson.I’m buying his album to show my support.He made a mistake and has been punished for it. He wasn’t beating Rihanna on a daily basis, they had a fight and he lost it. I feel that the punishment he has faced is more than enough.Chris has true talent and he is here to stay. If we can still support MJ we can support him. The people who are hating on him don’t care enough to buy Rihanna’s album in support of her which is why her album sales are very poor. Everyone is entiteld to their own opinion, but from a RnB fan of all artists, I bought this CD today and am throughly impressed. Songs like ‘What I Do’ and ‘I can transform ya’ are great club tunes, and then we have the amazing ‘Crawl’ which i adore, along with ‘Sing it like Me’ which is too hard to resist singing along with.
I truely believe that if the whole Rihanna debacle didnt happen, this album would have gained a lot more recognition and support. Chris’s actions should not be overlooked but I think everyone should definitely give this album a chance, for the sake of the music, and what we all loved in Chris before what happened, because I did, and I know I’m really impressed.
The 2 disc cd “GRIFFITI” is awesome. Chris Breezy is multi-talented,just amazing.The media,news reports,editors for various daily papers,etc.,are on their own personal prosecution of people they just don’t like. They use their business to encourage people to do the same. LISTEN Up……WE are not your personal puppets. Things don’t seem to be getting better in your mind because you refuse to let it go. Chris is moving on and his fans are traveling with him.

Honestly, i have been so geared up for Graffiti cause i’ve been hearing how good the songs are and i kinda liked crawl when i saw it on the tv… I listened the others today and i must say that the previous album was much better. Even his voice isn’t very impressive in this new rendition of songs. I enjoyed So Cold and Crawl… ohh I can transform ya is definitely a club banger! Over all the CD isn’t all that really.
If we based our entertainers off of their wrongdoings instead of their talent, we’d have no one to entertain us. Point being everyone has skeletons in their closet even you as a fan are no angel. If someone is good at what they do professionally, there’s no denying it. If Michael Jordan was abusive, do you think people would have stopped going to watch him play? The talent is there no question, I’m definitely getting the album, and this will be my FIRST time actually purchasing a Chris Brown album.
Graffiti isn’t really all that… I only liked a few songs on it. The deluxe is a bit better though, i especially like “Brown skin girl” with chris and sean paul.
I brought the album and I Love it. Chris is very good at what he does. And like the pervious person if we judge entertainers on wrong doing who would entertain us. Terrance Howard, Woody Allen etc…Have all fell short still working and entertaining. He made a mistake lets give him a chance to clean up…..and do what he enjoys

Chris Brown is a young man we all make mistakes.
His CD is great. He’s taking a lot of bad press and he should for what he has done.
But, he should not lose all he work for.
Rihanna, has move on and so everyone else.
I think Chris Brown Album is great! And Yes you do need to clean out your ears. People need to leave that young man along. Every body acting like they so holy and save like they never did anything wrong. Iam sure its some mess in your closet that you will never let out. God is a forgiving God! he forgive us for all our wrongs so why people cant forgive this young man. Its a big mess the way people are treating him. Black balling this kid album and every thing. The album is a 5!!! Top notch vocal and production quality…variation in styles in a plus…get the delux so as not to miss out and great songs like I Luv U and I Need It….the album is probaly some of his best work to date!

Graffiti is the bomb. Chris knows now that he did something wrong. I feel in my heart that he is sorry. As for Rihanna,TMZ and her manager used that altered picture to boost up her so called career. The media is very hateful the never kept showing Penn and Madonna fights and they are still making money both of them. Chris made a mistate and I hope he learned from this. Chris u can perform. U give the crowd what they want to see, a good proformance. I just Rihanna on Centric live from London 1/2 hour. The crowd was so dry when she was performing. When JayZ came out on stage the crowd came alive a little then go quiet. Maybe they through he was someone else. She had a good crowd but they needed icecubes in their chairs.
