Like the rest of the world “Not Myself Tonight” singer Christina Aguilera has fallen in love with A Great Big World’s newest single entitled “Say Something” – but she has taken it a step further by re-recording the sad tune with the band.

After hearing the break up track on the finale of “So You Think You Can Dance,” Miss Aguilera contacted the the New York based group composed of Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino to make them an offer that they could not refuse.

A Great Big World has unveiled a video where they gave a preview of their collaboration with the “Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)” singer and thus far it sounds magical.

The clip shows the “Not Myself Tonight” artist in a late night studio session with the duo.

After recording her part of the song, the Get Him to the Greek actress explained why she decided to lend her voice to the track:

“[This song] is sort of coming to me at a time when I’m feeling very inspired…it’s so simple and it’s so quiet and still and steady and in a way pleading to hear something, to hear some kind of answer or get an answer in the most humble, unassuming, non-demanding way”

The duet will be featured on A Great Big World’s debut album called “Is There Anybody Out There?” which will be available in stores in January of 2014 but pre-order will begin on November 4th.

Additionally the 32-year-old will be performing “Say Something” with A Great Big World live on “The Voice” on November 5th, 2013.
