Esperanza Spalding “Black Gold” Music Video Feat. Algebra Blessett

Education never looked so beautiful.
The virtually unknown Esperanza Spalding who made headlines at the Grammys last year by winning the best new artist trophy has released a new music video for the song entitled “Black Gold,” that will be featured on her upcoming album “Radio Music Society.”
The clip is a little movie that follows an African-American father who picks up his two young boys from school and the trio engage in a beautiful conversation about the vast African continent.
Over dinner, the single dad opens a huge book resembling the Bible that is dedicated to the great black figures/activists Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela and Fela Kuti who have marked our society.
As the little family discuss, the jazz singer who is loved by president Barack Obama along with singer Algebra Blessett give their local neighbors an outdoor concert where they educate them on how wonderful their black skin is.
