Frank Ocean MTV Video Music Awards 2012 Performance ‘Thinkin Bout You’
While most artists were trying to set 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on fire Frank Ocean took the other direction and decided to deliver a more mellow and intimate performance.
Mr. Ocean sang a stripped-down version of his hit single “Thinkin Bout You” which is lifted from his debut album “Channel Orange.”
The 24-year-old crooner wore a suit along with his trademark Japanese bandanna and sat next to a small camp fire as he whispered the emotional tune with a Prince like voice.
The quiet piece was applauded by Lady Gaga and his pal Tyler, the Creator.
