Lloyd Lay It Down: New Song from King of Hearts 2011 Album – R&B crooner Lloyd has a new song titled “Lay It Down,” that debuted online late on Sunday. The track was produced by Polow Da Don. ‘Lay It Down’ is taking from Lloyd’s upcoming “King of Hearts” album that will be released in February 2011.
The “You” singer left Def Jam for Interscope records few months ago. “Lay It Down” is a pretty decent effort for a first single.
The only problem with the song is the yodeling part, only R. Kelly could have pull this off like he did on “Echo.”
In conclusion, it is nice to see someone resisting the current techno/dance craze going on in the R&B world.

I think Lay it Down is an amazing single! The yodeling part ABSOLUTELY makes the song! It’s different, its fun, its sexy, and the yodeling part completes it because you wouldn’t have expected it! I definitely think it’s a plus that he isn’t sticking to the stupid techno craze thats going on right now! Seriously where did it come from???
And I love him for it!
I mean im a huge fan of techno & all else but when everyone jumps to do it at once??? Seriously??? It makes it overrated…
But honestly I’m glad Lloyd can stick to his true style apart from what’s currently cool, and still be hot!
