Boy is she arrogant. First off, IT WASN’T A PERFORMANCE! No body cared how WELL she sang.
She was supposed to be paying tribute which meant a milder demeanor in how she sang – which she didn’t provide. Moving that whole arm with every note.. That’s what detracted from her singing and distracted me from the song. It’s so amateurish looking too. We did that as teens. As amazing as her voice is – we should see her songs coming from her soul – not her arm and hand! Be still with that thing, Mariah! And her dress – It was a funeral – not Vegas! But I’m sure as usual she thought she made a good choice- poor thing. No accounting for being raised to practice good etiquette or good taste.

The hand waving is all she got left. No more voice, no more quality, no more good songs, all that’s got left is that ridiculous hand movements. and when it’s not accompanied by a good perforformance it shows just how lame it is, i hope she will stop embarassing herself and retire, respectfully

Mariah was not being arrogant. She was simply apologizing for messing up at the king of POP’s memorial. If you sang horribly at one of you’re idols funeral or memorial, wouldnt you feel like you owed everyone an apology?

you know, i have read many blogs, and i have to say that in today’s world, not many people have anything good to say about any of the entertainers! all you here is that “they are to old” or “can’t sing nomore”, “i see them to much”..etc! when do we as a people stop disrepecting our stars? you don’t like them anymore? it’s ok move on, but try and be supportive, is that how you treat your family and friends. do you greet them with hate and bitterness? next time someone disrespects you think about how you get on these blogs and speck without thinking. we need UNITY people. U.N.I.T.Y.!

Kimallah I completely agree with you. This is the exact thing both the Media and the PUBLIC did to poor sweet MJ. Many were quick to judge him as soon as any negative rumor came out, forgetting the person he was before all the drama was created. No matter what legacy’s he brang through his music, his kind personality and performances people always find a way to put other’s down and now his gone they start appreciating him. We all have our off moments but respect the fact she was so saddened by his death. If Mariah felt most compftable in what she wearing it’s her choice to live her own life.
    Well done Mariah
I am proud of you for getting up on that stage and not pulling out. We all have our off moments but that’s what makes you stronger as an artist

I know that she was choked this was a shock to the worls and i lovd Michael, however her only mistake was indicating that this was a performance. Usher is the arrogant one he took himself completely off. I guess because it was ctying. I love Usher as well but someone died here so Mariya and Usher it’s pk to be less than perfect.

  6. Ellen says:

I’m sorry I meant to say he was crying and it’s ok.

  8. April says:

I think that it was very courages for all the entertainers to stand thier and sing and somehow keep it together.I know for one if I had to sing that night, nothing would have come out of my mouth because it just seemed surreal that MJ was lying in that casket right in front of them.Mariah was clearly still in shock and must have wanted to give it her all but her emotions couldn’t let her.Still I personally think she sang well. The hand moving was probably a way to keep herself going and not to breakdown.About Usher I was touched because it takes alot to make a man break down like that….c’mon guys its the KING OF POP we are talking about here, how many of you would look at his casket and still keep their composure?I think we should give her a break, please.

  9. Kara Binkins says:

Wow I am not a fan of Mariah but I must say it had to be difficult to sing his song with him lying dead in front of you.
Let us not forget this woman was married to the SOB who was a huge thorn in the side of Michael Jackson. He destroyed her and did all in his power to destroy Michael after Michael called him out. He did a pretty good job in America when Michaels songs should have been hits were not even heard here. There is always more to the story.

  10. kei says:

its ok mc we understand i kno it was hard to sing that song in front of a casket hey usher broke down and da end of the song but its ok to cry u are human and its wat humans do.. im so proud of yu jhud and usher.
