Mariah Carey ‘Triumphant’ Song Gets Lukewarm Reception
The magical potion that included two of the hottest rappers of the moment talking about nonsensical things, a solid beat and an angelic voice is no longer working for Mariah Carey.
Mrs. Carey’s latest single “Triumphant” did not meet the expectation set out by the diva.
The uplifting song failed on the Billboard charts and landed at the 50th spot on iTunes.
Many believe that the song failed because the mother-of-two did not promote it – while others think that she should have waited after starting her gig on American to release the track.
Another theory that is floating around claims that “Triumphant” flopped because most of her fans are disappointed by the fact that she took a back seat on her own record and let the rappers take the spotlight in order to better sell the song.
The reason why Mariah Carey’s “Triumphant” bombed might be easily explained – it was not a very good song.
By the looks of things MiMi is collaborating with an impressive group of producers for the project – so expect a hit or two to emerge.
