Mary J. Blige has decided to take her fans back, way back with the release of “Everyday People”/”Everyday People 2012″ which is the reprise of the song by the same name originally performed by Sly and the Family Stone in 1968 and Arrested Development in 1992.

Blige teamed up with mega producers Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox for the revamped version of the track which focuses on self empowering and reaching one’s goal.

The diva who recently ended her “Liberation” tour with D’Angelo is set to drop a new studio album called the “Journey Continues (Act II)” soon – so there is a possibility that the positive tune might appear on the project.
