Maxwell has the number one album in the country this week.Maxwell’s “BLACKsummers’night” CD,the first one in eight years had sales numbers close to 316,000 copies.This is a career high sales wise for the “Fortunate” singer,in 2001 “Now,” opened at No. 1 with 296,000 copies sold.

This is the measure of a true singer and incredible artist, he doesn’t have to kick out an album every year to stay in the game like those manufactured artist (ie Beyonce) who oversaturate the airwaves with garbage, just so people don’t realize that they are not all they are made out to be, afraid to take a break, because they know that the next new manufactured artist is right on their tail. Maxwell is the real deal.he will continue to be relevant no matter how long he takes to come out with something new.
I think that Maxwell is awesome! I’m really excited that heis back and I’m back in love again! I love everything about this cd:and his VOICE! Oh WOW! I love how he goes from his masculine voice to falsetta in such an effortless way! I think that’s his GIFT! The music is also awesome, the horns,guitars,lyrics, and just how he brings every song to life and takes you on a journey with his incredible voice and it’s oh so smooth nad seductive! awesome job Maxwell from someone who absolutely loves you! Glad you came back to R & B! You were truly missed. I listen to this cd every single day and i’m turning everyone I know on to itcause I’m back in love again!with Maxwell
WOW! Maxwell is awesome! I’m so glad he came back to the world of R & B. I listen to this cd every single day. I love listening to it because it takes you on this journey with the beautiful music esp the horns, guitars, piano,lyrics and HIS INCREDIBLE VOICE! It’s CRAZY! I love how he goes so effortlessly from his masculine tone to falsetta! It’s so seductive and alluring. I love the whole CD, but the firts 5 songs are my favorites and then there’s Love You and Fistful of Tears. He outdid himslef. I’m excited for him with this trilogy! I have always been such a huge fan of Maxwell. I’m glad he’s back and now I’m back in love again.
