Maxwell BLACKsummersnight Trilogy Update – Maxwell is getting ready to release his first album in eight years “Black” on July 7, 2009.The CD is the first one of Maxwell’s “BLACKsummersnight” trilogy.The talented soulful singer had this to say about the ambitious project:
“Three sides of my crazy personality,” Maxwell explained of the albums. “Black is dark. Summer’s is the lighter side. That album is more of a gospel side — not in the traditional sense, but more like Deepak Chopra meets that minister or that pastor down in the South somewhere. The Night album is … the ultimate love record.
“I always wanted to do this,” he continued. “This was a plan for about six years, and we worked all those songs out. I’m excited to see how people take each record and how they experience each record.”
The first single off “Black” “Pretty Wings” is in Maxwell own words:
“a bittersweet love song about meeting the right girl at the wrong time.”

maxwell alot of people like your music some don’t but i bet it’s your trials that make your music last. i will forward to meeting you face to face because i know it will happen. pretty wings symbolizes to me what can be and what will be even if both people are together forever they can still feel each others when they are apart.
