Melanie Amaro ‘Don’t Fail Me Now’ Music Video Premieres (Watch)

Since that hilarious Superbowl Pepsi ad, we have not seen much of X Factor USA’s season 1 winner Melanie Amaro.

That is until this evening when she finally decided to premiere the music video for “Don’t Fail Me Now” – the first single from her debut album due out later this year.

The simple clip features the singer walking in-front of a blue screen as images of roads and country sides flash behind her.

Miss Amaro eventually moves from the idyllic sceneries to a party where she finds the love of her love.

While Amaro looks great in the clip (hair, makeup, clothes and jewelry were all perfect) the clip looks cheap and does not fit the song.

Furthermore this girl sounds like Mariah Carey or Beyonce so why is Simon Cowell giving her Rihanna’s rejected techno tracks?

L.A. Reid did a great job with her makeover (she lost weight, took etiquette classes and learned to dress better)- now if only he could focus on the songs they give her.
