Ne-Yo Slams Lady Gaga

Ne-Yo is not a fan of Lady Gaga and he is letting the world know about it.

The singer and songwriter who was recently named Senior Vice President of A&R at Motown sat down for an interview with the British publication Daily Star where he opened about about the the state of the music industry, his own career and revealed where he wants to take R’n'B.

Ne-Yo who is famous for talking too much (just ask Rihanna, Beyonce or Chris Brown how many intimate details he has spilled about their lives?) was asked to name the artists he believes will rapidly fade about.

Without hesitation he singled out Lady Gaga:

“Everybody thought it was going to be Lady Gaga, but where is she right now, what’s going on with her?Not to take anything away from her because she’s ridiculously talented, but artists who stand the test of time – you just don’t see those any more.”

The crooner who is currently to push Conor Maynard aka the new Marvin Gaye (according to Ne-yo or course) went on to share his master plan to revive the R&B music biz:

“Motown wants to breathe fresh air into R&B, but Motown was not always cutting edge, it was soulful but good pop music too.They were always at the top of the charts in the 60s, and today the lines are getting blurred again with R&B artists doing dance and pop acts doing R&B.I feel now it’s just about good music again. Motown needs to stand for quality music, period.”
I’m trying to revitalise Motown by making sure quality is a staple. It’s not just about money, they want icons.”

Is it over for Gaga who has sold more 23 million albums?
