Ne-Yo’s “Year Of The Gentleman” album will be released on Tuesday (September 16, 2008),via Def Jam.This album is pretty decent and very easy on the ears.Nonetheless it lacks that one hit song, you will want to listen to in ten years.Additionally, after listening to the CD two or three times, you find out that there’s really nothing fresh about it.These are songs that we have heard before. It would be wise for Ne-Yo to dump Stargate,on his next project and bring more diversity to his work.
On a positive note,he is still young,he will keep on growing and “So You Can Cry” is very good.
I will give “Year Of The Gentleman” a 2.75/5.

if you actually listen to the lyrics and can relate, the songs are great, but if you cant then you probly wont like them because you dont understand it. but thats just what i think, cuz this is a great album.
That’s Becasue who ever writes these articles doesn’t seem to know too much about real RNB. The album I think is good certianly room for improvement but thats a good thing shows he has some creative growth. I’ve put comments on some of these other articles and they don’t even get posted whats up with that…..

I am not sure you read the review.

This CD is ok but no one will remember it in three weeks.
A great album in my opinion with more decent tracks than most. I like it, though I am a bit disappointed and surprised “What’s the Matter” didn’t make it on the final cut. Definitely one of the better songs I think.
I CAN SO TOTALLY RELATE TO HIS SONGS
VOW I LOVE HIM SO MUCH
BUT THIS ALBUM WAS A BIT OF A LET DOWN
