Rihanna Cries Over Chris Brown In New Oprah Winfrey Interview

In a new sneak preview of Rihanna’s interview with Oprah, the Barbadian breaks down in tears as she explains how she felt after Chris Brown beat her and left her on the side on the road.

Sitting at her childhood home located in Barbados, the “Rude Boy” star explained that while she was suffering after the beating, she was thinking about Chris Brown.

The singer explained that she was worrying about her abuser because she knew that world would see him as a monster while she saw him as a person who made a mistake and he needed help. Rihanna said:

‘I felt like the only person they hate right now is him. It was a weird, confusing space to be in.Because as angry as I was – as angry and hurt and betrayed – I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help. And who’s going to help him? Nobody’s going to say he needs help, everybody’s going to say he’s a monster, without looking at the source. And I was more concerned about him.’

The new actress also explained that she lost her best friend the day she broke up with Brown.

The emotional interview will air on a TV special Oprah: The Next Chapter on August 19th.

Many of Brown’s fans are asking that Oprah should interview the crooner so he can share his side of the story and explain that he became an abuser after witnessing his step-father abused his mother.
