Rihanna “Rated R” Album Review – Rihanna will release her fourth studio album ‘Rated R’ on November 23, 2009 through Def Jam Records.Rihanna is now in a league of her own and she is proving it with this new CD,a raw mixture of R&B,Pop,Hip Hop and Caribbean sound.Can the blend turn ‘Rated R’ into a good album? Yes but only to some extent and if you slice things up a little.Let’s get into the slicing, production wise the CD deserves an A,everything is on point.Vocally,Rihanna has really improved and she gets a B+ for her performance here.Despite these good elements when you add everything together,the project is missing something,it lacks soul because Rihanna seems to be putting on a show from beginning to end.Sometimes it is good to put the big ego aside and demonstrate some vulnerability because that’s when you can really connect with the listener.That’s what Usher did with “Confessions” ,that’s what Taylor Swift did on her last album with great success.To end on a positive note “Hard” and “Rude Boy” are the best tracks featured on the CD.Overall,I will give Rihanna “Rated R”’s CD a 3.25/5.

the only reason why her album would sell a lot is because of what went down with chris brown. SHE CAN NOT SING! she needs to take off three years get some lessons then maybe come back to making albums
yea, I agree 100%…NOT!!!!, she sold over 8 million on GGGB, 3 #1’s, 8 top hits and the biggest single of that year. Been out for 4 years and had the song of the summer every year in da row. Toured over the world(Chris Opened for her, cause she’s bigger), an international super star before the age of 20, the only person was to do that is Britney Spears. Before the whole Chris Brown thing even happened, so where did the “fight” made her? And her voice gotten alot better, let’s hear you sing.
ps. If you take three years off and try to come back, you’ll end up like Usher, still trying to get it back.
of course she shouldnt stop, i mean theres too many people who love crap music for her to take off three years now. if she was gone, maybe soulja boy would become an rnb king, so its better this way. go rihanna!

its a cracker.
forget the stupid who is best crap, this is a fantastic album,tight and balanced, well produced and will appeal across the board. Trust me buy play it then keep playing it

I freaking love this album. Fire Bomb is a great song. They’re all good but this song is #1 in my opinion.

Yea rihanna’s album did do exceptionally well when it 1st came out and that was prolly due to her 20/20 inertview. In all reality her album is declining on the charts because we don’t care for her music, she isn’t a sensation. Rihanna is just eye candy, we just like looking at her for her high fashion and sexually explicit photos. She can hardly sing, she can’t dance, she just knows how to grab our attention and she does it through sex DUH!!! Many of us are still bitter towards chris brown but look @ how his graffiti album is doing…. its #1 despite some stores not stocking it on their shelves because he is more musically inclined

i love this album
This album was actually a very HUGE disappointment to me. This girl did soo amazing in GGGB, and then this comes out? This is even worse than her first two albums that had one hit and the rest was a waste. This album just screams what Chris Brown had done to her – not saying it’s her fault, but he plays a pretty huge role in screwing her over. In every damn song its about problems and the future and the past, they’re ALL SAD. there are noooooo good songs like disturbia or anything else.
