Stevie Wonder Frank Ocean ‘Confused’ Sexuality Comment Gets Slammed
While most people stepped out to show support to Frank Ocean when he announced that he was gay/bisexual few others were puzzled by his complicated statement and by the timing.
After Ne-Yo questioned Ocean’s decision to come out of the closet just days before releasing his debut album, Stevie Wonder recently did an interview where he shared that he thinks that the singer is confused.
Talking to The Guardian’s Paul Lester, the music legend said that while he personally likes Mr. Ocean, he believes that he might be uncertain about his sexuality. Wonder explained:
“I think honestly, some people who think they’re gay, they’re confused..People can misconstrue closeness for love. People can feel connected, they bond. I’m not saying all [gay people are confused]. Some people have a desire to be with the same sex. But that’s them.”
The Motown star is being slammed as a homophobic old man who does not understand the world around him.
