In what is being called an odd choice – Bruno Mars has been picked to perform at the 2014 Super Bowl halftime show.

The 27-year-old singer is expected to team up with a live band like he always does to perform hit songs like “Grenade,” “Just the Way You Are,” and “Locked Out of Heaven,” at Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on February 2nd, 2014.

The NFL is expected to make an official announcement on Sunday.

The Grammy winner who released his “Unorthodox Jukebox” album earlier this year will be following in the foot steps of Beyonce, Madonna and Michael Jackson.

Are you glad Bruno Mars was picked or would you have preferred Bon Jovi or Bruce Springsteen who are from Jersey?
