  1. BlackRose says:

I think Teena is one of the all time greatest divas in the rinks with Aretha,Ella,Billy, and so on. I’ve always felt the pure passion from her songs and especially Fire and Desire in which I use to sing very well. This is one song that will never die no matter how many years go by. The song she did with the late Gerald Lever “Can you call a rose by any other name” They were singing about me.(LOL)This song to me repesents unconditional love and being that it speaks of a rose it also is a blessing from God. His masterpiece art of the rose symbolizes love and no matter what country you go to people who have this special love in them will always give out Roses to the one they love.I’ve always dreamed of meeting Ms. Marie and to sing a song with here. I feel a kindred spirit between us when I hear her music. I say to you lady, keep doing what you do and don’t stop. There is another very special song she did that made me cry when I heard it and I cannot seem to sing it all the way without crying and that is on Sapphire track 13 “You blow me away” I don’t have enough words in my brain to describe how she felt when creating this song all I know is I felt it too. The other song is “De ja vu” This was a spiritual song to me and I’ve felt this way a many times myself. I love the way she has included God into her music. Alot of artist forget where their gifts comes from. When is the next album coming?
