‘Light of the world’ doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to be referred to in a religious sense. From what I understand through the rest of the song lyrics, what MJ could have meant is that, being in love makes one feel something they haven’t ever before…unique, special,powerful, the light of the world. Just that capability to love someone or something as much, as he always demonstrated his profound love..for the poor, the earth & nature, the world’s children, his family, his love for music and dance and reaching out to others by portraying his immense talent on stage.
I thought the movie was excellent, and from what I saw, the concert show truly would’ve been a spectacular, amazing live performance..something never done before.

P.S. – Although I posted comments about the whole “light of the world’ comment, I must admit, I don’t think this song is complete, which is why it was never released. The overall song is nice, but doesn’t totally make sense. I think Michael was feeling his way through the lyrics and never completed it. I think Sony was just being greedy and saw the “This Is It” title and got trigger happy and released it without really checking the lyrics. I am certain Michael would’ve NEVER released this song in this stage without a lyrical revision.
With that being said, the song has grown on me (the version with the brothers) and it gives me a sort of happy feeling. I miss Michael. In my dreams, Michael is still alive… Whether that is reality, only time will tell. Nevertheless, God bless you Michael! We love you MORE!

I remember watching the Thriller video… I didn’t like it, because it scared me (and that what it suppose to do)and I dislike being afraid. How do I start? I am proud to be an adoring fan of MJ. I have really connected to you who have poured your heart out for this lovely man. My heart aches as though I have lost one of my own family. It is amazing how someone can touch one’s life without ever having met him. I have read everything I can about him and know that he is not the man the mainstream media painted him to be. I am saddened that they just would not let him be. It seems when something or someone is so good, the enemy can’t stand it and has do do what he/they can to destroy it. So many of his songs referred to God. I am convinced that he would never elevate himself to the level some might think the song “This Is It” suggests. Again, it has just hit me that he is no longer with us… It’s so frustrating to always come to that sad realization over and over again. He belongs here with us and to be able to share all the good times with his 3 beautiful babies. I guess he was right when he said “This is it, This.Is.It.” Dealing with his death has been WAY too much to ask of anyone who has ever loved him… I mean to feel like your heart has been ripped out of your chest and than stomped on, well that just isn’t fun. Can anyone really imagine personally knowing him and than having him pulled away from you just like that? Oh the pain of it all… I will always love him, my devotion to him will always be, and he will always have my heart… he’s had that since, well forever.
