Usher ‘Looking 4 Myself’ Album Preview (Listen)

In order to build anticipation for his upcoming 7th studio album “Looking 4 Myself” Usher has unveiled a sneak preview of the record.
The crooner has unveiled 30 to 40 second snippets of 18 tracks that will be featured on “Looking 4 Myself” that will be out on June 12th, 2011.
“Looking 4 Myself” is a mixture of R’n'B, Pop and techno that features well known collaborators such as Pharrell, Luke Steele, Rick Ross and A$AP Rocky – in a nutshell it has a little something for everyone. Speaking to Reuters Usher explained that this album is his most personal work. He shared:
“It was damn near a rebirth .I felt open and creative because I didn’t have anything in my mind.At some point, after making music for a long time, you have to find very new creative and innovative ways to do what you love.”
After listening to the snippets, you will have to agree that the record is intimate and very diverse with a bit of crunk, indie, funk and even island beat.
But it also appears to be all over the place – hopefully the full version will change my mind. You can listen to the album after the jump:
