Usher Mars vs. Venus:New Song

usher

Usher Mars vs. Venus:New Song – Usher has a new song called “Mars vs. Venus” that surfaced today where he is using terms related to the solar system and all the astrological signs to explain what happens when two bodies collide during the big bang aka sex/love making.”Mars vs. Venus” which was produced by Jam & Lewis and The Avila Brothers will be featured on the singer’s upcoming CD “Raymond vs Raymond” that will be out on March 26, 2010.

Vocally Usher did a great job on the track, but then again he is known for delivering smooth and sensual notes on songs that talk about sex.Lyrically the song is very cliche but the beat on the other hand is very soothing and baby making like.My conclusion is that Usher needs to make better usage of his voice if he ever wants another hit album.
What are your thoughts on Mars vs. Venus Usher?

    • HH says:

Yes, u are damn right…if i want to hear this rubbish i listen to r.kelly.I was a big fan of usher music but his new things are weak…he lost his style..last album was weak too…8710 confession there were hits…i dont want to heat this timbaland things from usher…he things by singing of sex he sounds more like a man…for me he is only one of thousands…not anymore the one and only usher…

      • mike says:

its def 8701 not 8710 and this album is gonna be good also… there is only so much an rnb singer can sing about so love, hate, sex, realtionships those are pretty much what they sing about cause everyone can relate to them.. nobody wants to hear about a midget poppin out of a closet or rims spinning… and its def for the lovers out there.. and the ladies especially…

  2. ShortCake says:

Stop hatin…. This man is actually doin sumthin wit himself. Puttin his heart and soul into his music. He can only write and sing what he is feeling in himself. If you don’t like it, maybe you should open up and stop bein so judgmental or just not listen to it…

Anyway dis is a FREAK song! Turn it on wit da music high/light low and da 1 u wit…. Go head Usher, you can sing2me anytime boo…

    • mcc says:

I can’t wait to get home and put this song on tonight and let my man get his Trey Songz on (aka let the neighbors know us). How about that?

  3. Sorry Usher says:

Jay-Z had a song called Venus vs. Mars that was on BP3. Usher’s late and needs to try again. So much scandal surrounding every album release. This man-child needs better pr or should hire momma again.

  4. all good says:

  7. classic says:

I think that Usher can do almost anything. He has a baby-maker voice and it is what he does best. What, would you all rather see him rap?????? LOL. Personally, I love this song and Usher only goes wrong when he tries to dip outside of his genre. Of course the song doesn’t make sense: name one song that doesn’t have at least one line in it that doesn’t make any damn sense. Just sayin. Leave the man alone.

  8. Alaskagirl says:

Everyone needs to calm down on here because the track is hot. And since when do R&B artists not sing about sex and love-making? I think never. I for one am excited about the album and am in need of some good ol’ R&B that is missing from the airwaves and will be coppin this on the first day.

  9. Sean J says:

This track is HOT! Vocally Usher did that damn thing! He’ cant do no wrong. Yes so what he’s talkin’ about sex/love making – Most R&B singers do??!!! Marvin Gaye, Al Green…

Real R&B. This is on rotation on my blackberry!

  10. Gotitbad4usher says:

  11. abc says:

kay lets get real here…usher is the best R&B artist out right now, by far. this whole album is on fire, it, along with thank me later will be the best albums of 2010. and who cares if hes singing about sex…what do you want him to sing about? louis vuitton and bugatti’s? and how hes got way more money than us?
hes doin his thing and this will stay at the top of the charts for a long time.

    • mcc says:

i agree with you. i don’t hear anyone hating on trey songz. i love me some trey too but c’mon—lol smiley face???? and if neighbors know my name is not a sex banging love making song i don’t know what is. this song is hot. usher is back. like it or not.

  12. Kiana says:

Hmm, y’all coming off as some major haters right now, I like this song, in addition to all of the others I have heard from this album.

  13. Little Earth says:

We all are entitled to own opinion but yours s*ck………..

  14. Yoko says:

I absolutely love this song!!!! I think the whole CD is nice.

  15. JB says:

This song is easily the best vocal and musical performance on the entire album if not this year in R&B, and I’m positive it won’t get the credit it deserves. There are so many layers to his vocal range and to the track that every listen is like a new experience. This is what happens when stars like Jam, Lewis and Usher collide…the Big Bang.

  16. Andrew says:

Uma das minhas preferidas do album, junto com Hey Daddy, Pro Lover e Guilty

  17. ronaldjc says:

I am the biggest Jam & Lewis (producers of this song) fan but this song is 6 out of 10. If you want to hear a song that uses the planets as a metaphor for sex, listen to “Sex Planet” by R. Kelly and holla back. It has better wordplay, music, and production.
