Whitney Houston Videos (Our Favorites)

This evening the heartbroken news that Whitney Houston had passed away at the age of 48 hit many of us like a rock.

To pay tribute to “The Voice,” I have compiled a list of Whitney Houston’s songs and videos and share with you why I liked them so much.

Whitney Houston – Greatest Love Of All

I have been listening to the iconic Whitney Houston since I was about 7 and half years old.

The first time I heard her amazing voice was when “Greatest Love Of All” premiered on television.

I did not really understand what she was talking about, but I found the way she said it – magical.

I simply loved the clip because it featured a little kid my age running on the stage – something my own mother loved also.

Along with Mariah Carey, she became one of my favorite singers – needless to say from there on I learned almost all the lyrics of her hit songs.

Whitney Houston – I Wanna Dance With Somebody

I won’t lie, I did try to recreate some of these moves in vain.

But what I really liked about the visual was the waves in her hair and colorful dresses she had on.

Whitney Houston – So Emotional

This music video was most likely filmed while she was on tour so there is nothing really spectacular about it.

But being a big fan of Michael Jackson back then, I was thrilled by the leather jacket, big hair, that killer guitar and her rock and roll behavior on stage.

Whitney Houston – How Will I Know

What captured me in this clip, was the whole fun house theme, the silly mirrors and her sense of fashion.

These splash of colors on her lips, hair and dress had me intrigued. I loved Aretha Franklin’s appearance – hey we all want to talk to the queen and ask her opinion on matters of the heart.

Mariah Carey ft Whitney Houston When You Believe

This is the song that I was supposed to sibg at my high school graduation but was unable to because of my hectic work schedule.

The song/video was perfect for me because my favorite divas were singing together.

Whitney Houston – It’s Not Right But It’s Okay

I loved the whole fearless wardrobe and attitude she had in the clip.

I always wondered why is it she was not dancing with the backups – I guess a true diva does not not do choreography.

Whitney Houston – I Will Always Love You

The ultimate Whitney song.

Writing this post is a bit surreal, because I have listened to her all my life – so it is hard to accept that she is gone for good.
